Special Needs Ministry

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Psalm 139:13-14

From birth through adulthood, Celebration desires to provide a church home for everyone.

Our facilities are all handicap accessible and we are here to meet the unique needs of those that want to come and connect to God and others here at Celebration!

Accessibility

  • Handicap parking is available near all main entrances to each of our buildings.
  • Each building has ramps leading into the main entrances.
  • On Sunday mornings, we have a golf cart ministry able to give anyone with mobility concerns a ride from their car to the entrance of any of our buildings.
  • The upstairs of our Family Activities Building (where the gym is) and the Broom Tree building can be accessed via an elevator by the "Hello" desk in the Broom Tree Cafe.
  • Seating in our worship center is in individual chairs- not pews. Spaces are available for wheelchairs and our ushers are more than happy to help make arrangements so that friends and family can sit together.

For the safety of our church family, our Special Needs ministry is not meeting at this time.
We look forward to announcing the safe return soon!

The Aktion Group

SUNDAY MORNINGS
10:15am, Room 11

The Aktion Group is open to any adult living with a disability who desires to become a leader in his/her community and wishes to provide service to others. Our group is sponsored by the Tallahassee Northside Kiwanis. Gavin Boone and Debbie Wade provide guidance and leadership to this group of adults with special needs.

Our Aktion Group gathers together to study the Bible, learn how to be more like Christ and serve their community. Members build leadership and decision-making skills, as well as hold leadership roles in the club. They work together on meaningful community-service activities. They learn by doing. They learn organization, teamwork and leadership.
