What is Season of Compassion?
Season of Compassion is Celebration’s annual holiday-season community service and outreach ministry. Through this annual effort, we work to meet the needs of hundreds of individuals and families in the Tallahassee community. We do this through various projects of giving and service.
God met humanity’s greatest need in generously giving His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, as a ransom for sin, for all those who would believe and trust in His birth, life, and finished work on the cross and resurrection. As followers of Christ, we seek to model God’s generosity in our lives by giving of our time and resources that others may know the love of Christ at Christmas.
Please prayerfully consider how you, your family, or your group may be involved in each of the projects:

Celebration’s Benevolence Ministry works year-round to meet the physical needs of local families. By giving rental/mortgage assistance, paying utility bills, providing food and more, the team shares the love of Jesus in a tangible way with those in need.
During Season of Compassion we collect a special offering to fund our Benevolence Ministry. 100% of the gifts made to the Season of Compassion Special Offering will be used to meet these needs and share the gospel of Christ with people in crisis.

Gifts for Kids is an opportunity to bring a bit of happiness to a child- all in the name of Christ!
This year we are partnering with the Leon, Wakulla, Franklin, and Gadsden County to help incarcerated parents and their children keep their family bonds strong while they are apart. Close family ties can help reduce recidivism and break the cycle of incarceration within a family. We are seeking to provide gifts to 200 children this year.
Your generosity can help a child better understand the true reason for the season and help maintain an important family bond during difficult times.

The Star Project

This year to celebrate our 40th anniversary Celebration launched the 40 | 40 campaign to plant 40 churches and send 40 people into full-time missions and ministry.
One of our partners is Pastor Joshua Hargis and Elyria Baptist Church in Elyria, OH, a part of SEND Cleveland through the North American Mission Board. We are working to provide manpower and financial support as they seek to revitalize their church.
We are building teams now to travel to Ohio in 2023 to help with cleaning, repairing, painting, and other physical labor tasks in their buildings.
