Shining a Light on Anxiety

God is Peace

Read through these verses this week and remember, true peace is found with God!
Monday
God understands what I am going through. Jesus understands what you are facing. He has saved you and he is with the Father right now bringing your needs to him.
Hebrews 7:25 Therefore, he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, since he always lives to intercede for them.

Tuesday
Though things are uncertain, God is at work. God maintains everything and he is using all things to accomplish His purposes.
Colossians 1:17 He is before all things, and by him all things hold together.

Wednesday
God will not abandon me.
Jeremiah 23:23–24 (NLT) Am I a God who is only close at hand?” says the Lord. “No, I am far away at the same time. Can anyone hide from me in a secret place? Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth?” says the Lord.

Thursday
God is listening when I pray.
1 John 5:14–15 (NLT) And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.
Friday
God will ultimately overcome anything that stands in the way of his love for us.
Romans 8:37–39 (NCV)  But in all these things we are completely victorious through God who showed his love for us. Yes, I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor ruling spirits, nothing now, nothing in the future, no powers, nothing above us, nothing below us, nor anything else in the whole world will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Saturday
God takes care of those who love him.
Psalm 146:5–7 (NCV) Happy are those who are helped by the God of Jacob. Their hope is in the Lord their God. He made heaven and earth, the sea and everything in it. He remains loyal forever. He does what is fair for those who have been wronged. He gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets the prisoners free.

Sunday
God is leading me
Psalm 32:8–10 (NLT) The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you. Do not be like a senseless horse or mule that needs a bit and bridle to keep it under control.” Many sorrows come to the wicked, but unfailing love surrounds those who trust the Lord.
