Shining a Light on Anxiety

God is Listening

Read through these verses this week and remember, we can take our concerns to God because He is listening!
God expects me to pray and pray often!
Ephesians 6:18 Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

God is not distant. He is near to me.
Psalm 145:18 The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth.

God listens to me when I pray.
1 John 5:15 And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.

God understands what I am going through.
Hebrews 4:14–16 So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
My prayers matter to God.
Psalm 102:17 He will listen to the prayers of the destitute. He will not reject their pleas.

When I don’t know what to pray for, the Spirit of God is there to help me pray.

I need to be relentless in prayer, even when things are not going my way.
